I believe that your hair is a part of how you view yourself and a way to express yourself. With fashion and style your look should be changing and evolving too. I love helping my clients discover what that is for them.
My favorite looks include soft, dimensional, effortless styles. I love to use a balayage technic in my colors.
I graduated from the salon professional academy (a Redken based school) and then I started working for Salon Yaya September 2012. I have also attend several classes to continue my education throughout the years.
In my free time I like to go on hikes, travel, and drink margaritas with my friends. I have two dogs. Their names are Captain and Tennille. They are a mix of Chihuahua and rat terrier and about 8 years old. Their theme song is Love will keep us together.

Certified Redken Hair Colorist
What inspired her to become a cosmetologist?
“I have always been intrigued with color and shape. I have been doing hair unofficially since I was five. I started experimenting with color on myself, and my family in 8th grade. And in high school, I started asking my stylist how they were cutting my hair and I would take those principals and experiment on my friends and family. I love making people feel more beautiful. It is the best feeling when someone gets out of my chair and says ‘I LOVE my hair.’ That is what I want everytime someone sits down in front of me. This is not just a job for me, It is a passion and I feel blessed to have a career that I love.”
Education: “When I was looking for a salon to work at the number one priority was a place that provided me with extra training. When I found out about the associate program and working directly under an experienced stylist, I was hooked on Ya Ya. I learned more in my 10 months of training than I ever could have expected. And I soon realized that it wasn't just my mentor that I learned from. Every other experienced stylist taught me something. Everyone is willing to teach, and our new stylists are willing to be taught. Invaluable. We also have 4-5 additional classes every year that we all take, even master stylists; anything from new color techniques, cutting classes, and styling. We take our careers very seriously here and we ALL push ourselves to keep learning. All of this extra training and continuing education has given me a confidence to provide the highest level of service to my guests and gives me the freedom to do what I love! We all work very hard to keep up with the latest trends and techniques and will continue throughout our careers here at Ya Ya.”
